New Album 'One on One' - Release Date

The scheduled release date of Paul’s new studio album ‘ ONE ON ONE’ has been delayed until September 17th. We understand that this will be disappointing news for many of our fans, particularly those who have pre-ordered the album and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
A statement from Carrack-UK follows below.

There are a number of reasons for the delay which we will try to explain in this statement. In order for us to keep to the original scheduled date of June 25 th , we needed to deliver the finished album and artwork by mid May at the latest. We were totally confident of achieving this commitment and were on course to do so when, in March Paul suddenly became ill with the Shingles virus. This is a very painful and debilitating illness that can be quite long lasting. In Paul’s case, though he did his utmost to do as much as possible, the illness went on for a good 6 weeks and many hours of studio time were lost. As Paul recovered we tried to push the date back as much as possible but unfortunately, time was against us and we have had to accept that we will not be able to meet our deadline.

The Music Industry has been hit hard by the Covid-19 situation. In addition, the manufacturing sector has had to cope with many changes brought about by various changes due to Brexit (love it or hate it). Even the major labels are experiencing backlogs and delays due to the congestion in the system. Having lost our place in the queue we have had to accept changes to our schedule.

We very much hope that our great fans, particularly those who have pre ordered the album will appreciate that the delay is beyond our control and that we have tried our level best to stay on track. To anyone who has pre ordered the album, we hope to be giving access to previously unreleased material as a token of good will. Watch this space.

The GOOD NEWS is that the album sounds absolutely amazing and we are confident that everyone will agree it is worth the wait.

A new single track ‘Good and Ready’ (irony alert) will be available on all digital platforms from June 4th.
